Measure G could harm C.V.'s harmony, peace

Monterey Herald -- Oct. 8, 2009

I believe the people on both sides of Measure G are good people and truly want to maintain the rural nature of Carmel Valley. Having said that, I wish to express one of my many concerns I have regarding "Yes on G" that I don't believe has been touched on.

The rural nature of Carmel Valley is more than aesthetics, and up to now, it has been a relatively harmonious and peaceful place to live and raise a family; neighbor supporting neighbor and looking out for one another. No doubt emotions are running high on both sides, and I fear if Measure G passes, that harmony will fade; neighbor against neighbor, lawsuits and bickering will occur.

Gee, if I wanted to live in that kind of environment, I'd move to Pacific Grove. No on G.
