Response from Candidates for CV city council -- Noel Jensen

Monterey Herald -- Oct. 27, 2009

I am running for Carmel Valley town council against incorporation. I was born and raised in Carmel and Carmel Valley and I have lived in metropolitan and rural areas. I have witnessed the negative effects of incorporation. It will attract unsavory elements that want to come into power.

This is a terrible time financially to be an incorporated city. You only have to look at neighboring communities to see the financial problems they are facing.

Incorporation will not protect rural Carmel Valley. It will have the opposite effect.

I encourage everyone to vote no on Measure G and remind everyone to vote for five town council members with your no vote. If Measure G passes, you will want people you can trust as town council members.
